As an affiliate of the Illinois Business Education Association, SIBEA represents business education professionals from schools and community colleges in the southern/southeastern 22 counties in Illinois, and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. 

The specific purpose of SIBEA is to plan, develop, and sustain programs for professionals in business education through meetings, discussions, and conferences.  Additional purposes of SIBEA are to: 

* Promote teaching careers in business education.

* Promote the interest of career and technical education at all educational levels and cooperate with other agencies endeavoring to improve business and career and technical education. 

Southern Illinois Business Education Association (SIBEA) serves business education professionals in these Illinois counties: Alexander, Clinton, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Marion, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Richland, Saline, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, Williamson.
