Undergraduate ProgramsBachelor's of Science (On Campus)Business, Marketing, and Computer EducationA Business, Marketing, and Computer Education degree prepares you to teach business and computer courses. You will be qualified to teach courses in accounting, basic business, business law, computer concepts and applications, information processing, marketing, personal finance, etc. You may also choose to teach at a community college, business school, or in industry. In addition to being certified to teach, you will possess the skills to meet daily challenges presented by a technological business environment. Course of StudyYou will take a combination of education and business courses. Based upon your past education and experience, you may qualify for the Capstone Option. You may also receive credit for your past work experience. Professional AssociationsParticipation in student and professional organizations develops your leadership skills, improves your communication skills, and provides you with professional contacts. You are encouraged to participate in organizations such as Phi Beta Lambda (the collegiate chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America) and Pi Omega Pi (the honor society for business education). You are also encouraged to participate in Southern Illinois Business Education Association and Illinois Business Education Association.
