WED 460 - Occupational Analysis and Curriculum Development

e-Learning Unit 3 - Using ISD Elements to Design a Solution to a Problem

Instructional Systems Design (ISD) projects require professionals to be skilled in the application of adult learning theory, the implementation of ISD models, and use of state-of-the-art delivery modes.  In addition, the development of professional competencies in using ISD elements to design a solution to a problem ensures the development and delivery of efficient and effective training programs.

In this unit, you will gain an understanding of factors related to using ISD elements. The informational component of this lesson will be through individual independent study.   Then, through a small group learning activity you will design a solution to a problem.  Familiarity with this process can facilitate your work in proposal writing, internship planning, and many other student and professional tasks.

The reading assignments in this e-Learning unit are from the WED 460 approved course text:

Morrison, G.R., Ross, SM., & Kemp, J.E. (2007). Designing effective instruction (5th ed.). Hoboken, NJ: John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
