Training Proposal and Report Writing
(TNA Summary Report and Formal Training Proposal)

Web-based WED OCDP independent study courses

What do I need to know to be successful in my independent study courses?

You will have personal control of your learning experience, which is a key component to your success in our four WED independent study courses. You will have access to online course materials at anytime and anyplace that meet with your own schedule and time constraints.

You will actively participate in a student-centered learning environment where you will have access to the resources you need in order to complete the courses. Online independent study courses require the student to be an active locus of his or her learning; unlike traditional learning models where the professor is the center of knowledge and students are passive recipients of information. You will be empowered to discover and utilize the resources available to you in order to complete course requirements.

Although you are enrolled in an online course, you will not be left to struggle on your own. You will have the opportunity for electronic interaction and communication with your course managers, instructors, classmates, and librarians, as well as other professionals you may identify, via e-mail, forums (asynchronous discussion boards), telephone, and videoconferencing (where available).
