The Online Journal for Workforce Education and Development hereafter referred to as the Journal, is a peer-reviewed publication produced by the Department of Workforce Education and Development at Southern Illinois University Carbondale intended to stimulate and disseminate scholarly activity on critical issues in workforce, career, and technical education, including training and development.

The Journal welcomes original manuscripts from practitioners and researchers that will help to inform workforce educators regarding current research, promising practices, and significant issues and problems in workforce education. The Journal will provide a forum for discourse on critical issues in workforce, career, and technical education, including training and development.

The Journal is intended for faculty and students in schools, colleges, and universities; human resource developers in corporate, military and professional fields; researchers; and other specialists in workforce, career, and technical education, including training and development.
